Hi! We are Gamma Phi Beta-Gamma Gamma Chapter

Gamma Phi Beta was founded on November 11th, 1874 by our four founders, Mary A. Bingham, Frances E. Haven, Helen M. Dodge, and E. Adeline Curtis.  These four women noticed the need for women empowerment, especially on college campuses, thus they decided to create their own sorority, and call it Gamma Phi Beta.

UW-Milwaukee's Gamma Phi Beta started as a literacy organization on campus, that was later converted to Gamma Phi Beta in 1960.  Our official founding date is March 19th, 1960, and with help from our sisters at the Gamma chapter at UW-Madison, we created our own chapter.  We are focused on our four Core Values, Love, Labor, Learning, and Loyalty, and exemplify these through our various sisterhood events, philanthropic missions, and on campus involvement.

Gamma Phi Beta is the proud exclusive National Panhellenic Conference National Partner of Girls on the Run International, a nonprofit organization that allows our membership to actively live our philanthropic focus of Building Strong Girls through hands-on service and charitable giving.
